Trademark registration services in Dubai

UAE Trademarks provides trademark registration services in Dubai and throughout the UAE through trademark agents registered with the Ministry of Economy & Tourism (MoET) since 2009. Only registered agents may file on behalf of others; owners based outside the UAE must use one. This page sets out exactly what the service includes, what it costs and how to choose an agent.

What our trademark service includes

Stage What we do
Clearance search Search the MoET register in Arabic and English for identical and similar marks, including pending applications, in your classes and related classes. Written opinion on registrability.
Class selection Map your products and services to the correct Nice classes (13th edition) and draft the specification in both languages so it is accepted first time.
Filing Prepare and file the application on the MoET portal; pay the AED 750 fee on your behalf; issue you the application number and priority date.
Examination follow-up Respond to office actions, disclaimers and conditional acceptances; file a grievance if a refusal is wrong.
Publication and opposition Pay the AED 750 publication fee on time; monitor the 30-day opposition window; defend against oppositions.
Registration Pay the AED 5,000 final fee; obtain and deliver the electronic certificate.
Docketing Record every deadline – publication, registration, use, renewal – and remind you.

Fees

Government fees are fixed by MoET: AED 6,500 per class for a standard registration. Our professional fee is quoted as a single fixed amount per class covering everything from search to certificate; office actions and oppositions are quoted separately only if they arise. There are no hourly charges and no "success fees". Government fee schedule →

How to choose a trademark agent in the UAE

  1. Check registration. The agent (person or firm) must appear on MoET's trademark-agent register. Unregistered "consultants" file through someone else and add a margin.
  2. Ask who files. A UAE-based team that logs into the MoET portal directly, not a foreign platform forwarding to a local associate.
  3. Ask for the search opinion in writing before you pay for filing.
  4. Compare total cost, not the headline fee: some quotes exclude publication, registration or translation.
  5. Ask about enforcement experience. Registration is the start; you want an agent who has run oppositions and complaints. Compare agents →
